What We Know . . .
When those around them take effective steps to include and connect with students with disabilities, they foster positive mental health and well-being and students with disabilities feel joy and acceptance.
What We Do . . .
Sammy’s Buddy Program creates the space for students to normalize difference, encourage inclusion and build understanding around the challenges experienced by students with different abilities while developing student leaders within the community.
Our Impact . . .
- Since 2016, we have impacted over 28,000 students in Denver and Salt Lake City metro area schools.
- Our goals for the 2023-24 school year are 33 schools and 3500 additional students in Colorado and Utah.

Inclusion Library

Participating classrooms and school libraries receive over 20 books written by or about people with different abilities.
Individual School
$5,500
Monthly activities, Kindness Campaign, and Leadership Summit for multiple classrooms at one school.
Program Year
$120,000
12 schools and one operation budget for a year of all initiatives of Sammy’s Buddy Program in Colorado or Utah.
